My name is Kahyun Uhm. My work focuses on field recording, modular synthesis, experimental music, and installation. I work across a range of genres, with a particular emphasis on environmental and site-specific sound. I gather sounds from historically complex places and mix these recordings to create reflective works grounded in the present moment. Through this process, I explore the relationship between memory, space, and sound. In my free time, I enjoy walking and sitting in different places with my dog, listening closely to the sounds of the environment around us.
